It's important to preserve these old bloodlines so future generations have the opportunity to work with them and enjoy their beauty.

Heritage breeds are known for their complete package: good egg production, viable carcass weight, natural instinct to brood and raise their young, and longer life expectancy. One of my favorite parts is they are self-sustaining, able to reproduce naturally for decades if properly managed in a closed flock.
