Collection: Baby Chicks

Buying tip: If you are hoping to get 5 females from your baby chick order, I strongly suggest doubling the number of chicks you order. For example: you would want to order 10 unsexed chicks for your best chance of adding 5 females to your flock.

These numbers are not guaranteed, rather based on the average 50/50 split males/females at hatch.

If you have concerns about having extra boys, I have resources who can rehome them for you, or you can learn how to process extra boys for meat by taking my 'Basics of Butchering' class.

Another great option for guaranteed females is to get sexed pullets. These are offered late spring throughout the remainder of the year. Please see my pullets & cockerels page.

Offering many dual-purpose breeds to suit your family's needs.

Whether you're looking for fun egg colors to fill your basket, or you're interested in learning how to become more self-sufficient by providing meat for the table. You'll surely find what you are looking for.

I especially enjoy working with many different heritage breeds for this reason.
